Whatever rate you sign up at is your rate forever — for as long as you remain continuously subscribed. When pricing rises for future cohorts, yours never moves. Cancel, and the lock is gone: rejoining means current pricing and a new onboarding fee. The earlier you join, the better your rate for the life of your license.
Every licensed Unpain Wave provider is listed in the consumer-facing directory. When a patient searches, the directory automatically detects their location and ranks providers by distance, closest first. No performance metrics, no rankings to manage. Just geolocation. Patients see the clinic location where each licensed provider practices.
A patient searches "Unpain Wave near me" or visits unpainwave.com. They pick a module (e.g., Unpain Wave for Pain) and the directory uses their device geolocation to show the licensed Unpain Wave providers in their area, ordered by distance. The closest Certified Unpain Wave Provider appears first. The next closest second. And so on. Patients see the clinic location where each provider practices, so they know exactly where to book.
No case-volume metrics. No outcome ratings to manage at the directory level. The system is simple, automatic, and identical for every licensed provider at launch. Your job is to deliver great clinical care; the directory's job is to put you in front of the patients who are physically closest to you.
In a future program year, premium top-of-list placement may be introduced as a paid option for providers who want guaranteed visibility regardless of distance. At launch, the directory is purely geolocation-driven for every licensed provider.

No. Unpain Wave is a trademark and protocol license, not a franchise. You retain full control of your clinic operations, your pricing, your staffing, your hours, your billing, and your business model. We provide methodology, brand, and marketing assets. We do not dictate how you run your business. There is no franchise fee, no royalty, no revenue share, and no Franchise Disclosure Document because no franchise relationship exists.
No. License only the modules that fit your clinical scope and patient base. A chiro who treats musculoskeletal pain might license just Unpain Wave at $499 per month. A urology or men's health practice might license just Unpain Wave for Pelvic. A multidisciplinary clinic might license two or all three. Most clinics start with Unpain Wave and add modules as they grow — your monthly rate locks at signup either way, so starting small costs you nothing later.
The $2,999 onboarding fee is per onboarding session, not per module. If you sign up for two or all three modules at once, you pay one $2,999 onboarding fee and each module adds $499 per month recurring. If you start with one module and later add another in a separate onboarding session, a new $2,999 onboarding fee applies at that time — plus $499 per month for the added module at your locked signup rate. The lesson: if you already know you want multiple modules, bundle them into one onboarding and save. If you're not sure, start with Unpain Wave — your rate is locked either way.
One focal shockwave device — the technology that delivers true shockwaves — unlocks all three modules: Unpain Wave, for Pelvic, and for Scars. Radial-only devices do not qualify — radial pressure waves are not true shockwaves and will not produce the outcomes the protocols are validated against. All devices must be approved for clinical use by the applicable regulator (FDA in the US, Health Canada in Canada, or equivalent). If you don't own a qualifying device yet, mention it on your onboarding call and we'll point you to approved options.
Only Storz Medical and Chattanooga devices are approved for Unpain Wave certification. The protocols were built, refined, and validated on these platforms — the parameters, applicator choices, and treatment progressions map directly to how these devices deliver energy. Certifying on the same platforms the protocols were developed on is how we guarantee that an Unpain Wave treatment feels and performs the same at every licensed provider. If you own a focal device from another manufacturer, mention it on your onboarding call and we will confirm whether it qualifies.
For as long as you're Unpain Wave certified, you get exclusive member discounts on device service, parts, refurbishment, and future device purchases through our distributor partnership. Shockwave devices are working machines — applicators wear and refurbishment comes around on schedule — and over the life of a device those savings alone are typically worth more than the monthly subscription itself. Unpain Wave receives compensation from device referrals, which is disclosed in writing before any transaction.
Your licensed clinician is. They assess the patient, indicate the treatment, obtain informed consent, and deliver care under their own professional license and malpractice coverage. Every patient-facing surface is clear that the Unpain Wave Certified Clinic is independently owned and operated and that clinical care is provided by the licensed practitioner at that clinic.
By geolocation, automatically. When a patient visits the Unpain Wave directory, the system detects their location and ranks licensed Unpain Wave providers by distance: the closest provider appears first, the next closest second, and so on. Patients see the clinic location where each provider practices so they can book directly. No performance metrics, no rankings to game, no paid spots at launch. In a future program year we may introduce a paid premium-placement option for providers who want guaranteed top-of-list visibility regardless of distance, but at launch the directory is purely distance-based and identical for every licensed provider.
You complete your current annual term and choose not to renew, either individual modules or the entire license. After cancellation, you lose the right to use the Unpain Wave name, the relevant module marks, the protocols, the marketing assets, and the directory listing. You keep your device. You keep your patients. You keep the clinical knowledge you built. You can continue offering generic shockwave therapy the way you did before.
Unpain Clinic Franchising Inc. is the parent company. Unpain Clinic is a full clinic franchise with its own Franchise Disclosure Document and franchise system. Unpain Wave is a separate product, a family of modality licenses for any clinic that wants to license a shockwave methodology and brand. The two are distinct: an Unpain Wave Licensee is not an Unpain Clinic franchisee. If you later decide you want to operate as a full Unpain Clinic franchise, that is a separate conversation under separate terms.
Initial focus is the United States and Canada. Trademark filings are in motion in both jurisdictions. If you are outside North America and interested in participating, mention it in your application and we will let you know when international cohorts open.
